The sound of a Pututo ('shell' in the Inca language Quechua), an ancient Andean wind instrument made from a large shell (Strombus Galeatus of the genus Spondylus), is played during a re-enactment of an Inca festivity, during the celebration of the inclusion of the Andean Road System - Qhapac Nan, in the list of UNESCO World Heritage, taking place at ruins of the Inca sanctuary Pachacamac, in the coastal desert strip 30 km south of Lima on June 25, 2014. Six countries, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, joined to present an application for the recognition of a valuable common cultural heritage site, extending for almost 60,000 kilometers.
