FRANCE-GOVERNMENT-HISTORY-BREGANCON
People walk in the yard as they visit on June 29, 2014 in Bormes-les-Mimosas, southeastern France, the Bregancon fort, one of the official presidential residences since 1968. Official summer residence for French presidents since the General de Gaulle (1958) - who slept there one night! - Fort Brégançon is opened to visitors until September 28, for the first time this year, after President Francois Hollande decided last autumn, in order to reduce the lifestyle of the French presidency, not to return to the place, and to open it to public. Visitors may learn a little more about the lives of presidents, and discover the splendor of a site in the heart of an exceptionally preserved nature. AFP PHOTO / BERTRAND LANGLOIS
