FRANCE-TOURISM-HERITAGE-ANIMAL-JUSTICE-TRIAL-FILES
(FILES) -- A file picture taken on June 3, 2013 shows people riding a horse-drawn carriage named maringote near the Mont-Saint-Michel, French landmark and UNESCO World Heritage site. Transdev, a Veolia subsidiary in charge of tourist transportation to the Mont-Saint-Michel, was ordered by a French court to pay 1,1 million euros to a horse breeder whose contract to transport tourists to the site was broken. The breeder, Norbert Coulon, has refused since the end of 2013 to provide his horses for the transportation, accusing Transdev of using incompetent coachmen, thus jeopardizing the animals' health.
