A view of the ferry "Kalliste" of company La Meridionale, after striking employees of competitor Societe Nationale Corse Mediterrannee (SNCM) Mediterranean ferry company blocked its access with a truck (Rear-C), on July 2, 2014 in Marseille. President of SNCM Olivier Diehl called off the strike on July 1, a week after the beginning of the movement, saying it could lead to the "disappearance" of the company. The "Kalliste" ferry was due to cast off for Corsica on July 1.
