A model in a "yukata" or cotton summer kimono, puts a gold leaf wishing card onto a bamboo decoration at a jewellery shop in Tokyo on July 3, 2014, ahead of "Tanabata", the Japanese Star Festival on July 7. In Japan people usually hang strips of paper on bamboo branches to pray for better fortune at the traditional annual festival.
