(From L) European Investment Bank (EIB) vice-president Philippe De Fontaine Vive Curtaz, President of the supervisory board of the French public investment bank 'La Caisse des Depots' (CDC) Henri Emmanuelli, French junior minister in charge of European Affairs Harlem Desir, French Finance Minister Michel Sapin, and CDC Chairman Pierre-Rene Lemas pose prior to attending a presentation on CDC-EIB joint ventures on July 8, 2014 at the CDC offices in Paris. The EIB and CDC signed on July 8 an agreement for the launch of a project of European obligation, a "bond project", destined to finance very high speed internet acces in France. The "bond projects", launched during the summer of 2012, are a financial implement still experimental in Europe, which finances infrasctructure projects in specific domains (transport, energy, information and communication).
