The entrance to textile factory Aha Mura is taken on July 2, 2014 in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. Some 800 people lost their jobs during recent layoffs in the textile factory Aha Mura. The home region of Pomurje, in Slovenia's northeast, has slid deeper into poverty and joblessness over the past few years. The situation is the worst in Pomurje, near the border with Austria and Hungary, with the country's lowest income per capita and highest unemployment rate at 21 percent, against 13 percent nationwide.
