FRANCE-ITALY-TRAIN-TRIAL
A picture taken on July 11, 2014 in front of the law court of Chambery, southeastern France, shows a banner reading "NO TAV (No to high speed trains)" during the trial of Daniel Ibanez (unseen), who is opposed to the construction of the new railway line from Turin to Lyon (TAV). Ibanez is pursued by company Lyon-Turin Ferroviaire (LTF) for having said remarks in the press against the railway line project. LTF is a binational subsidiary company belonging to rail companies Rete Ferroviaria Italiane (RFI) and Reseau Ferre de France (RFF). It was founded in October 2011 after Italy and France signed an agreement on January 29, 2011 and committed themselves to building a new railway line from Turin to Lyon. AFP PHOTO / PHILIPPE DESMAZES
