A first group of 120 deportees from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala who had crossed into the United States illegally were repatriated by plane to their countries -- most of them unaccompanied youths. US authorities have detained some 57,000 unaccompanied minors since October, twice the number from the same period a year ago, seeking to illegally cross into the US from Mexico.
