ICOAST-FRANCE-HOLLANDE
French President Francois Hollande (2nd L) sits next to Ivorian Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan on a boat on July 17, 2014 at the start of the his vist to Ivory Coast on Abidjan's lagoon, where French construction company Bouygues is building a third bridge that is presented as a key project by the Ivorian government. Hollande is in Ivory Coast to boost economic ties with a nation emerging from a long conflict that divided it and set back production. France is the main trading partner of its former colony, the world's leading cocoa producer and long the economic hub of the west African region. The country still hosts hundreds of French companies.
