A worker carries stones as he works on July 15, 2014 at the construction site of the Guedelon Castle, a medieval castle built using only technologies from the 13th century, in Treigny, central France. The construction of the castle, which started in 1997 was an original idea of Michel Guyot, a French castle owner who also owns the castle of Saint-Fargeau some 15 km away from the Guedelon castle. Considered as an open-air laboratory, a team of 70 employees and about 20 volunteers works at the Guedelon castle, attracting some 300,000 visitors a year, whose admission fees finance most of the cost of construction work.
