An Israel soldier launches an Israeli army's Skylark I unmanned drone aircraft, which is used for monitoring purposes, at an army deployment area near Israel's border with the besieged Palestinian territory on July 23, 2014, as the conflict entered its third week with neither side showing any sign of willingness to pull back. Israel's military pursued a relentless campaign of shelling and air strikes while the Palestinian militants hit back with rocket fire and fierce attacks on troops operating on the ground.
