French Professor of the Systematic and Evolution department of the French National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), Philippe Bouchet (R on the boat) poses with a team of scientists on July 25, 2014 in the port of Degrad des Cannes, French overseas department of Guyane. The Venezuelan oceanographic research vessel "Hermano Gines" began this weekend a mission off Guyane with 16 scientists of the MNHN and the NGO Pro Natura International. The mission named "Planet Revisited" started from the Degrad de Cannes port and should run until mid-August 2014, collecting "neglected" underwater biodiversity along the Guyanese coast (around the Islands of Salut) and offshore sea (marine reserve of the Grand Connetable).
