LEBANON-UNREST-SYRIA-CONFLICT-ARSAL
Lebanese army's armoured personal carriers (APC) drive to the entrance of the town of Arsal in the Bekaa valley by the Syrian border on August 2, 2014 as they arrive to secure the area where gunmen killed four people, including two soldiers, after clashes erupted following the arrest of a Syrian accused of belonging to a jihadist group. Exchanges of fire between gunmen and Lebanese troops broke out, and the militants entered Arsal, storming a police post and killing two residents who tried to block their attack, security sources and Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) said. Arsal is a predominantly Sunni Muslim town where support for the uprising across the border in Syria runs strong. AFP PHOTO / STR
