FRANCE-HISTORY-TREE
Photo taken on August 4, 2014 shows Paris's oldest tree, a black locust (Robinia Pseudoacacia) in the Viviani square. The tree was planted in 1601 by the gardener of King Henri IV, Jean Robin who introduced it to France and gave it his name. It is a tree of the genus Robinia in the subfamily Faboideae of the pea family Fabaceae. It is native to the southeastern United States. AFP PHOTO/DOMINIQUE FAGET
