NICARAGUA-D'ESCOTO-FILE
(FILE) Former Nicaraguan Foreign Minister (1979-1990) and priest Miguel D'Escoto, speaks during the Foro de Sao Paulo meeting in Managua on July 16, 2004. D'Escoto welcomed on August 4, 2014 Pope Francis' decision to revoke the suspension "a divinis" imposed by Pope John Paul II in 1985 --on the grounds that his government work was incompatible with priestly duties-- and which forbade him to be in priesthood. The ex-foreign minister had appealed to Pope Francis, saying that at 81, he would like to celebrate mass before he dies. AFP PHOTO/Miguel ALVAREZ
