Outgoing Prime Minister Plamen Orecharski (R) applauds the newly appointed Bulgarian interim Prime minister Georgi Bliznashki on August 6, 2014 during the new government's transfer of powers official ceremony in Sofia. Bliznashki took the office today, after the president Plevneliev dissolved parliament and set by decree the date of early elections to October 5. The professor of constitutional law at the University of Sofia Bliznashki and some of his ministers had supported the last summer daily protests in Sofia against the government of Plamen Orecharski.
