FRANCE-ALGERIA-BURKINA-MALI-ACCIDENT-AVIATION-INVESTIGATION
Remi Jouty, the head of France's BEA (Bureau of Investigations and Analyses -- safety investigations into accidents or incidents in civil aviation bureau) talks during a joint press conference on the investigation into the crash of the Air Algerie AH5017 flight in Mali, in Le Bourget near Paris, on August 7, 2014. Investigators probing the crash of an Air Algerie flight in Mali that killed 116 people said on August 8 they had been unable to access voice recordings from the flight deck. "The tape was a little bit damaged. We were able to extract it... The BEA laboratory was able to restore the tape. Unfortunately the recordings are so far unusable," Remi Jouty, the head of France's BEA air safety agency, told journalists. AFP PHOTO / STEPHANE DE SAKUTIN
