Iraqi soldiers from the Abbas Unit celebrate in Jurf al Sakhr, 60 kilometers southwest of Baghdad, on August 10, 2014, after they reportedly pushed back Islamic jihadist fighter from the area. The main flashpoints with a large Islamic State presence around Baghdad are Jurf al-Sakhr, about 50 kilometres (30 miles) to the south, Fallujah, the same distance to the west, and a string of towns about 70 kilometres to the north.
