Marathon runner Sigrid Eichner from Berlin poses in front of the former Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery in Berlin on August 11, 2014, during a press event a few days ahead of the third "100 Meilen Berlin 2014" marathon event. 73-year-old Eichner, a former industrial engineer, will be the oldest participant to take part in this two-day 160,9 km running event on August 16 and 17 along the former wall around the western part of Berlin to commemorate the wall victims. Born in 1940 in Dresden and having lived in eastern Germany, Eichner participated in her first marathon at the age of 41.
