Mario Joseph the lawyer of former Haitian president Jean Bertrand Aristide attended the cabinet of judge Lamarre Belizaire to represent Aristide. The lawyer declared he has not received the summon and for this reason Aristide will not attended the tribunal. The former president of Haiti, Jean Bertrand Aristide (2001-2004) was convened for today to give statements to a judge for his alleged involvement in crimes of money laundering and drug trafficking revealed Tuesday by a judicial source. Last week, Judge Raymond Jean Michel, Dean of the Civil Court of Port au Prince, told AFP that Aristide faces a judicial investigation for "embezzlement of public funds, corruption and illicit drug trafficking."
