Waves for Change coaches (in yellow) show the beginner children the basics of surfing in the shallows of Monwabisi Beach, Khayelitsha, on August 07, 2014, about 30Km from the centre of Cape Town. Waves for Change is an organisation which uses teaching surfing to children in impoverished township areas, as a way of helping them stay away from crime and drugs, and gives them something to enjoy and look forward to, in life.
