SPAIN-MOROCCO-AFRICA-MIGRATION
Members of the Spanish Guardia Civil look on as two members of the Moroccan Auxiliary Forces hit would be immigrants from Africa sitting atop a border fence with sticks, on Spain's North African enclave of Melilla on August 14, 2014. Spain struggled to cope with a huge wave of migrants from northern Africa after rescuing on August 13 more than 900 people from flimsy dinghies in the Strait of Gibraltar in a single day. While more than 600 hundreds of other Africans desperate to reach Europe tried to so by land, scrambling over a towering, triple-layer border fence around Spain's tiny north African territory of Melilla.
