The US Air Force plane carrying US Secretary of State John Kerry is grounded August 14, 2014 at Hickman Air Force Base in Hawaii after experiencing technical difficulties prior to takeoff. The top US diplomat, on the conclusion of a global tour through Afghanistan, Australia, Myanmar and the Solomon Islands as part of the US administration's "rebalance" to Asia, was forced to take a commercial flight to Andrews Air force Base outside Washington, DC.
