Demonstrators wrote messages while protesting on August 15, 2014, the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. US authorities on Friday identified the officer who shot Brown. Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, speaking to reporters, named the officer as Darren Wilson, a six-year veteran of the police force.
