French President Francois Hollande (C-R) and French Minister for the Overseas Territories George Pau-Langevin (C-L) take part on August 21, 2014 in a debate about local employment in Saint-Joseph, in the French overseas island of La Reunion. Hollande arrived on August 21 in la Reunion prior to travel to Mayotte and the Comoros. Hollande announced on August 21 a series of measures for the island of La Reunion including an "adaptation" of the responsibility pact, support for the future-oriented jobs and the sugar industry.
