Displaced Iraqi Shiites, who fled their homes a few weeks ago, due to attacks by Islamic State (IS) jihadists in the northern city of Mosul, rest inside a tent at the Bhrka camp ten kilometers west of Arbil, the capital of northern Iraq's Kurdistan autonomous region, on August 23, 2014. The United States launched an air campaign against IS in Iraq on April 8, and has since carried out more than 90 strikes that have largely been in support of Kurdish forces in the north, drawing calls for operations elsewhere in the country.
