US-SATURN-CASSINI
Cassini-Huygens flight director Julie Webster reacts as the Cassini spacecraft successfully fires its retrorockets to enter the orbit of Saturn, 30 June 2004 at mission control at NASA-s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. After a nearly seven-year, 2.2 billion-mile (3.5 billion-km) journey, the Cassini spacecraft with the Huygens probe executed the critical maneuver to slip through Saturn-s rings and begin the burn to eventually park itself in orbit around the planet for it-s four year mission to examine the planet and to land the Huyens probe on Titan, Saturns largest moon.
