A nurse of the Simon Bolivar Zoo's veterinary surgery, gives a medicine to a squirrel, in San Jose on August 28, 2014. Thousands of parrots, macaws, toucanes, monkeys, goldfinches, turtles and iguanas are catched in Costa Rica each year to be kept as pets, putting the species at risk.
