GREECE-WWI-ANNIVERSARY
Musicians perform at Zeitelnik, the World War I Allied Military Cemetery and memorial park, during a concert organized by the General Consulate of France and the French Institute of Thessaloniki, as part of the commemoration of the centenary of the First World War, on September 4, 2014. The Zeitelnik cemetery, the largest in Greece, contains the graves mostly of the French (8000), but also of Serbian (7000), British, Italians (3000), Russian soldiers and Bulgarians , who died in the battles on the Salonika front during the World War I.
