PHILIPPINES-TRANSPORT-RAIL-TRAFFIC
A major thoroughfare in the Manila on September 8, 2014, is clogged with traffic as two overhead trains whiz by in the centre lane. The National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Board, chaired by President Benigno Aquino, has approved the “Roadmap for Transport Infrastructure Development for Metro Manila and Its Surrounding Areas.” The study conducted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) cited strategies to reduce traffic congestion.
