Supporters of the Shiite Huthi movement rest in a street near a makeshift tent camp on the airport road in the capital Sanaa, a day after clashes between riot police and Shiite rebels who were blocking the road in an attempt to widen an anti-government protest campaign on September 8, 2014. The protest organising committee said one demonstrator was shot dead, adding that a number of protesters received gunshot wounds as police hurled tear gas canisters and deployed water cannon to disperse demonstrators.
