A crowd awaits entry for an Apple product launch event, September 9, 2014, in Cupertino, California. Apple on Tuesday unveiled its first smartwatch and two large-screen versions of the iPhone, as the California tech giant moved to recapture its role as the leading technology trend-setter. In a major product event for the company, Apple also said it was introducing a new mobile wallet that will allow consumers to link their payment cards and simply tap their phones at retailers, aiming to popularize the idea of mobile payments.
