Former Salvadorean President Francisco Flores (C) is taken under heavy custody from his residence in the upscale Colonia San Benito district of San Salvador on September 19, 2014 to the headquarters of the Narcotics Unit where he will remain imprisoned after the first Criminal Chamber of the capital revoked his house arrest. Flores appeared in court on September 5 to face charges of misappropriating $15 million donated by Taiwan while in office. The former president, who had been in hiding since February and turned up unexpectedly with his lawyer at a San Salvador court, was at the time, allowed to remain under house arrest for the duration of the trial.
