A darted buffalo, who after medical checks will be sold to a breeder, is lifted on September 19, 2014 on a stretcher to the back of a truck on a private farm near Lephale in northern Limpopo province in South Africa. While being deemed as controversial for its financial display, the game breeding industry is viewed by analysts as helping protect animals in the face of rising poaching and habitat destruction.
