SYRIA-CONFLICT-NUSRA
Supporters of Al-Qaeda's Syria affiliate Al-Nusra Front hold placards calling Syrian President Bashar al-Assad a "terrorist" and denouncing Arab states that have joined anti-Islamic State group campaign, as they demonstrate in the northern city of Alepppo on September 24, 2014. A US-led coalition carried out air strikes against positions of Al-Nusra Front yesterday as well as the Islamic State group. The US designates Nusra a "terrorist" group although recently Washingon has focused more on the Islamic State group as it assembles a coalition to target jihadists in Syria and Iraq.
