The lawyer of Christophe Morat, Francois Mazon, speaks to journalists on September 29, 2014 as he arrives at the courthouse of in the southern French city of Aix-en-Provence. Morat, 40, is appearing in court on September 29 and October on charges "voluntarily administering harmful substances having brought on mutilation or permanent disability with premeditation and in a state of legal recidivism." He faces a 30-year jail term. In 2005, he had been sentenced to a six-year tem in a separate case for having knowingly contaminated two of his sexual partners with the AIDS visrus.
