HAITI-ARISTIDE-PROTEST
Supporters of former Haitian president Jean Bertrand Aristide perform a voodoo ceremony on September 30, 2014, prior to a protest marking the 23rd anniversary of the coup d'etat that overthrew Aristide in 1991. Currently a judge ordered the former president placed under house arrest, barring him from leaving the country. Aristide, the Caribbean country's first democratically elected president, is under investigation for corruption, drug trafficking and money laundering in a case involving about 30 people, including family members and former officials of his administration.
