HONG KONG-CHINA-POLITICS-DEMOCRACY-ICONOGRAPHY

This picture taken on 2 October, 2014 shows two teenagers paying their respects at the grave of Wong Ka-kui, a famous Cantonese rock star, at the Tseung Kwan O cemetery in Hong Kong. Wong's rousing ballad Hoi Fut Tin Hung (Under a Vast Sky), by his band Beyond, has become an anthem of the current Hong Kong protests thanks to its lyrics longing for freedom and tinged with hope for the future. For six days, umbrellas, yellow ribbons, cartoon takedowns of politicians and song lyrics have been festooned across a city whose streets have been cleared of traffic to make way for a new wave of political protest.
