An Ultra-Orthodox Jewish man walks with bread for the final meal before beginning the fast on Yom Kippur, the Jewish holy day of Atonement, on October 3, 2014 in Jerusalem. Shops were to shut down and all motorized traffic come to a complete halt until the evening of October 4th to observe the Day of Atonement -- a period of fasting, reflection and prayers on the important and holy day in the Jewish calendar.
