An actors poses during a re-enactment of the life of Spanish bandit Jose Maria “ El Tempranillo” in Grazalema on 4 October, 2014 who with a band of 50 men specialized in the robberies of carriages and stagecoaches before giving part of the loot to the poor, earning him the name of “The good Bandit”. “El Tempranillo” born in June 1805 near Cordoba started his criminal endeavours by murdering a man for unknown reasons at 15. Spanish King Fernando VII sent troops to track and arrest Jose Maria and his consorts before giving him a pardon in 1832 and naming him commander of the Squadron Franco Protection and Public Safety Patrol Andalucia, patrolling the roads once plundered by him. Jose Maria died in Alameda, near Malaga chasing another highway robber in September 1833. AFP PHOTO/ JORGE GUERRERO
