GERMANY-AWARD-ORDER OF MERIT-HISTORY-WALL
Juergen Litfin, founder of the Guenter Litfin memorial site, poses with the Order of Merit Insignia he was awarded at the presidential Bellevue palace Berlin on October 6, 2014. Litfin was honoured for his work in rememberance to his brother Guenter Litfin, the first victim at the Berlin Wall who was killed by gunshots of East German border guards when he tried to escape on August 24, 1961.
