Indian Muslims carry the body of 20 year old, Ashrafkhan Rafiqekhan Pathan, as they approach the Musa Suhag Graveyard in Ahmedabad on October 6, 2014. Ashrafkhan who was injured in the police firing yesterday died at the VS Hospital in Ahmedabad today. Yesterday in the sensitive Shahpur area of Ahmedabad, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch conducted a search operation efforting to find a man wanted in illegal cow slaughter. The locals started pelting stones and glass bottles forcing the police to lobb dozens of teargas shells and also resorted to firing to control the violent mob. Keeping in mind today's Idd Festival, the Police was kept on alert with additional support from the Gujarat State Reserve Police, Rapid Action Force, Ahmedabad Crime Branch officials along with the Ahmedabad police.
