DEN HAAG-JOEGOSLAVIE TRIBUNAAL-NORAC
Croatian Army General Mirko Norac, accused of the unlawful killing in 1993 by Croatian forces of civilians and of captured soldiers at Medak, during the occupation of Croatia by Serb forces (1991-1995), arrives in a courtroom at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague 08 July 2004. The former general, who is seen by many Croats as a war hero, pleaded not guilty and now could be sent back for trial in Croatia. He is already serving a 12-year prison sentence in Croatia for the execution of 50 ethnic Serbs in 1991.
