An engineer carries out an ultra sound test on the new variable speed pump-turbine at the Alstom’s global technology and hydropower centre in Grenoble, eastern France, on October 8, 2014. The centre which carries out all hydropower research and development for Alstom holds more than 25% of the world’s hydropower plants' share of the market, making it one of the global leaders in the hydropower.
