ISRAEL-CYPRUS-SWIMMING-GUINNESS-RECORD
Six Israeli swimmers arrive at the Marina in the Israeli coastal city of Herzliya after swimming in turns 400 kms (248 miles) from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus to Israel in an attempt to break the World record and the Guinness world record for longest swim in open sea and to raise awareness on sea protection, on October 11, 2014. The swimmers embarked on their adventure on October 5, from Larnaka, Cyprus, after a year of intensive training. This is the second time the swimmers try to meet the challenge. Last year they had to stop due to stormy weather on the third day, after swimming 289 kms (180 miles). AFP PHOTO / JACK GUEZ
