US-WEATHER-STORM-GONZALO
This October 13, 2014 NASA GOES satellite photo shows Tropical Storm Gonzalo over the Leeward Islands in the western Atlantic Ocean. Tropical Storm Gonzalo gained strength Monday, prompting hurricane watch advisories for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, forecasters said. The storm was expected to become a hurricane by nighttime or Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said in its latest bulletin. Current maximum sustained winds were measured at 60 miles (95 kilometers) an hour as Gonzalo moved across the Leeward Islands and headed for the Virgin Islands, the forecasters said. There was a hurricane watch in effect for Puerto Rico, Vieques and Culebra, as well as the US and British Virgin Islands, and tropical storm warnings for a wider swath of the Caribbean including Antigua, St. Martin, and Guadeloupe.AFP PHOTO/NASA /HANDOUT = RESTRICTED TO EDITORIAL USE - MANDATORY CREDIT "AFP PHOTO /NASA /HANDOUT " - NO MARKETING NO ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS - DISTRIBUTED AS A SERVICE TO CLIENTS =
