TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY SHAUN TANDON "ENTERTAINMENT-US-MUSIC-INTELLIGENCE-MANNING-WIKILEAKS"
Two singers perform between the image of an anonymous person who reacts to disturbing footage released by WikiLeaks during a rehearsal in New York on October 8, 2014 of the "The Source," which will premiere at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Next Wave Festival on October 22, 2014. "The Source" tries to tell the story of WikiLeaks source Chelsea Manning by creating a disorienting atmosphere, in which singers' voices are digitally altered live as they read from Manning's web log with a former hacker and from some of the 700,000 classified documents he handed to WikiLeaks. The audience sits together surrounded by images on all four walls.
