Costume Institute Conservator Glenn Petersen puts touches on a display during a press preview on October 20, 2014 as the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Opens “Death Becomes Her: A Century of Mourning Attire”, in New York. The Costume Institute’s first fall exhibition in seven years, explores the aesthetic development and cultural implications of mourning fashions of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
