The French Competition Authority has given a green light on October 27, 2014 to the cable operator Numericable (Altice) to buy the mobile operator SFR but with conditions. Altice will have to sell its subsidiary mobile company Outremer Telecom to the French overseas departments of La Reunion and Mayotte, and Numericable will have to open its cable network to competitors, said the Authority during a press conference.
